About this lesson

In the morning, Xiao Ming is very hungry.
他走进房间，想吃鸡蛋。
Tā zǒujìn fángjiān, xiǎng chī jīdàn.
He walks into the room and wants to eat an egg.
鸡蛋说：“你好！”
Jīdàn shuō: “Nǐ hǎo!”
The egg says, "Hello!"
小明看着鸡蛋，不能说话了。
Xiǎo Míng kàn zhe jīdàn, bù néng shuōhuà le.
Xiao Ming looks at the egg and cannot speak.
鸡蛋会说话吗？
Jīdàn huì shuōhuà ma?

小明看了看桌子下边。
Xiǎo Míng kàn le kàn zhuōzi xiàbian.
Xiao Ming looks under the table.

小明说：“你真爱开玩笑！”
Xiǎo Míng shuō: “Nǐ zhēn ài kāiwánxiào!”
Xiao Ming says, "You really love to joke!"
他们一起吃了早饭。
Tāmen yìqǐ chī le zǎofàn.
They ate breakfast together.
鸡蛋很好吃。
Jīdàn hěn hǎochī.
