Jīntiān tiānqì hěn rè.
The weather is very hot today.
小李在水果店买了一个大西瓜。
Xiǎo Lǐ zài shuǐguǒ diàn mǎi le yí gè dà xīguā.
Xiao Li bought a big watermelon at the fruit shop.
他想回家吃西瓜。
Tā xiǎng huíjiā chī xīguā.
He wanted to go home and eat watermelon.
路上，西瓜忽然掉在地上。
Lùshang, xīguā hūrán diào zài dìshang.
On the road, the watermelon suddenly fell to the ground.
它跑得非常快！
Tā pǎo de fēicháng kuài!
It ran very fast!
小李大声喊：“等一下！”
Xiǎo Lǐ dàshēng hǎn: “Děng yíxià!”
Xiao Li shouted loudly, "Wait a moment!"
西瓜从马路跑到公园里。
Xīguā cóng mǎlù pǎo dào gōngyuán lǐ.
The watermelon ran from the road into the park.
小李在后边跑，累得很。
Xiǎo Lǐ zài hòubian pǎo, lèi de hěn.
Xiao Li ran behind it, very tired.
最后，西瓜停在一个老人的脚前。
Zuìhòu, xīguā tíng zài yí gè lǎorén de jiǎo qián.
In the end, the watermelon stopped in front of an old man's feet.
老人笑着说：“这个西瓜真有意思。”
Lǎorén xiào zhe shuō: “Zhège xīguā zhēn yǒuyìsi.”
The old man said with a smile, "This watermelon is really interesting."
小李说：“请你吃吧！”
Xiǎo Lǐ shuō: “Qǐng nǐ chī ba!”
Xiao Li said, "Please have some!"
他们坐在树下，一起吃西瓜。
Tāmen zuò zài shù xià, yìqǐ chī xīguā.
They sat under a tree and ate watermelon together.
